The second volume of the Rhymer trilogy. In first volume, The
Rhymer
and The Ravens, Tomas's encounter with Moira, the Elf
Queen, catalyzed his recognition of his true nature and his introduction to the
Ars Magica, the magic arts. Accompanied by his new raven-allies, Tomas is going

About the
Author

:

Astrologer and
novelist Jodie Forrest believes that a novelist's first job is to tell a
crackling good story, to invoke a sort of trance in readers and transport them
to another world. She has a deep interest in cross cultural mythology,
archetypal psychology and medieval studies. The extensively researched
historical setting of her Rhymer trilogy is the scaffolding that supports the
fantastic elements in her work. She lives in the NC woods with her husband,
astrologer Steven Forrest, a spoiled black cat, and an uppity and unpredictable
troupe of her fiction's characters. See also her book on the astrology of
relating, written with Steven Forrest: Skymates.
